Candidates for WR1A Regional Representative

Taanishi! Leah dishinihkaashoon. Ma paraantii si Li Boyers pi Lii Falcons. Lloydminster d’ooshchiin, pi Lloydminster niwiikin. I am a proud mother of two, a land-based middle school teacher, and an active community member.

With lived experience navigating the challenges of high school, post-secondary education, and balancing a career and family, I understand both the importance and complexity of supporting Métis youth. Over the past several years, I’ve taken on multiple youth leadership roles where I’ve advocated for services, hosted events, and worked to reduce barriers to programming.

I’m especially passionate about land-based learning, bridging the gap between child (0–12) and youth (16–29) services, and promoting family-friendly events so Métis youth who are also parents can participate and feel welcome.

I’m committed to continuing this work, guided by YOUR voices and needs. With sincerity and heart, I ask for your vote.

I’ve always been passionate about advocating for youth—whether it’s around mental health, prevention, addictions awareness, or any challenges they face. I chose to run for Youth Representative of the WR1A region because I believe my background in advocacy and volunteer work can help amplify the voices of youth who may feel unheard. I’m proud of what young people are doing today, and I want to support them, showcase their strengths, and help them grow in their goals and dreams.
