Candidates for WR3 Regional Representative

I am running for Youth Rep. because it is integral to build youth capacity and connections in the region to foster effective representation. I have served as the regional representative on the Provincial Métis Youth Council (PMYC) for the past two years, where I have worked with other representatives to develop a solid foundation for the PMYC moving forward. With that foundation now in place, the possibility of focusing more closely on youth issues at the regional level arises. This is where I intend to work to foster a connected community of WR3 Youth, so that regional youth concerns, complaints, and ideas can reach and be addressed on the PMYC and regional council from a grassroots level. 

Through my experience in Métis politics, as well as my education in Political Science with a keen interest in Métis governance, I believe I will be able to effectively navigate our government system to provide well informed representation to the youth of WR3 with your support.

I am running for youth representative because I am passionate about listening to all voices, and putting my voice forward to represent youth. I understand the challenges and strengths of youth, especially on the younger side, as I myself am part of that demographic! I know that I can successfully help and support youth in my region, making sure that all voices are acknowledged, heard and brought to life. Building and maintaining connections with youth is necessary for our community and our future. I am more than willing to step in to this role and its responsibilities, to guide Metis youth with the amazing knowledge I have gained from past representatives, my community, and my elders. I am positive that I can and will represent all Metis youth, especially western region 3, to the best of my ability, if I am voted in, and even if I am not!
