Karen LaRocque is a passionate, fearless community leader with deep roots in the historic Métis community of Lebret and the Métis Nation. Known for her “get it done” attitude she spent decades addressing systemic injustice turning real struggles into lasting solutions that impact policy, shift legislation and change lives. A champion for decentralization, she advocates for grassroots capacity, local governance and Métis self-determination. Her leadership is grounded in Métis rights, driven by community and committed to amplifying the people's voice over bureaucracy. Michelle LeClair was the 2021-2025 Vice President of Métis Nation–Saskatchewan with a background in law and a lifelong commitment to justice, Métis rights, and self-government. During her term, she has advanced the MN–S Self-Government Treaty, supported residential school survivors, and promoted transparency in governance. After many heartfelt conversations with elders, citizens, and youth, I made the serious decision to run for Vice President—to serve our people with purpose and heart. I’m committed to turning stories into action and building a stronger tomorrow through self-determination and unity.
