Born and raised in Prince Albert, I am a strong Metis woman with traditional Metis teachings handed down from my lineage, Vandale, Henry, Ross, and Fiddler. I take pride in my blood-line and the people in it. I grew up in the West flat where it was like a Metis settlement. I have 4 years of SUNTEP education. I had many front-line jobs. I was active in my local, vice pres. and secretary. I would like to leave a legacy for my Metis citizens in our province. I believe that being a leader is getting everyone involved in something they can take pride in. Having a place where they can get services, and feel like they are home. I won the 2024 Best Elected Official, something I am very proud of.

I am Shawn Parenteau, and I am honored to be running for the WR2 Regional Director for the Metis Nation of Saskatchewan. I was born in Rosthern Saskatchewan but I am from Prince Albert and am the son of Ervin and Eva Parenteau. I have resided in Prince Albert for over 52 years. I graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1990. I have worked in the public sector for the last 27 years. My work history is in the Corrections sector. I am fortunate enough to work with a lot of great people at Saskatchewan Penitentiary who have assisted me in becoming the person I am today. During my earlier years I worked in various roles as a Correctional Officer 1 and am currently a Correctional Manager.

My name is Lynn Regnier from St. Louis, and I care deeply about the direction our region is heading. I believe it's time to support the 14 local leaders who are rooted in our communities and truly understand the needs of the people. Our future depends on listening to and uplifting the grassroots voices that often go unheard. These locals represent the heart of WR2, the ones who show up, who care, and who are ready to build a stronger, more inclusive region.
